It wasn't always my workout room but our spare room/office where all the extra boxes went when we moved here. Then we took in my nephew and the closet got more crowded with no real time or room to pull everything out and rearrange things. Now that he's moved out, I have this lovely workout space, with a closet that's brimming and ready to fall out into it. It'll take a full day perhaps three, to really pull everything out and see what can be done with it all. It's been put on my spring cleaning list since it involves shelves and other things we don't have yet.

The daily issue is that I and my husband-like-person were not raised with the same standards and I get tired of being the only one doing certain things. I end up letting them go and then get sparked by the oddest things. I'll need a pen, the pen will be buried under something that goes someplace else. But it can't go there because something is in the way. Five hours later I've scrubbed the kitchen and I'm folding laundry because I needed that pen. It's a cascade of controlled chaos but it works.

I'm going to look into the books you mentioned and see if I can get him on the same page with me in time for the Big Rearrange. We're investing in some shelving and other storage with our refunds and rearranging the kitchen and living room as well as updating our vacuum cleaner and other tools. Here's hoping it's enough to get us on track.

Good luck to us all!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2869464170817632469.post-47525608427642866052011-02-05T14:17:07.792-05:002011-02-05T14:17:07.792-05:00Currently I'm staying at my Mom's house to...Currently I'm staying at my Mom's house to help her out for a few weeks after her shoulder surgery. I love her house - always neat, a place for everything, EMPTY SPACE IN CLOSETS! I feel calm when I'm here. But when I go home my stress level goes way up...there are piles of stuff everywhere - you can definitely tell four adults live in the house, three of which have no concept about pick up after themselves or organizing their own spaces! I'm like a salmon swimming upstream. At some point I just gave up trying to keep up with it. I'll definitely check those books out, *before* I go home! lolCarolan Iveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11964204665748083341noreply@blogger.com
