Somehow, one never gets tired of hearing of one's own awesomeness. *gg*

SJ, I can imagine that the study of one culture's mythology can take up an entire lifetime. There's always so much to learn!

Kat, your hubby is cool. You can tell him I said that. :) And yay for the jumping points! That's why I do these, to spark new ideas.

Jenna, sounds as if you're doing more Welsh mythology than Irish. Merlin, the Taliesin, features strongly in the Welsh Arthurian cycle. I'm a big fan of the Mabinogion, personally.Sela Carsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18410188636252030577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2869464170817632469.post-48436840228053839632007-10-12T23:55:00.000-05:002007-10-12T23:55:00.000-05:00I used some Celtic history in The Last Legacy. I am not looking that up) is in her story also, as are a few others in the Celtic pantheon.

But, I like mixing it up. Take Merlin, the wizard, whose spirit Charise trapped in the body of a teeny kitty in the first book. He's still a very powerful wizard.. he's just got a hair ball problem.Jenna Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12153417576470472639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2869464170817632469.post-54989241704052062112007-10-12T17:29:00.000-05:002007-10-12T17:29:00.000-05:00Very interesting, especially the spear. Reading that reminded me of it and how interesting it would be to marry the two concepts.

Plus you gave me great jumping off points on a paranormal I have brewing that takes place in an Irish castle that was transported from Ireland to the New Jersey Highlands.

-KatKathleen Scott/MK Mancoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14872072913152568070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2869464170817632469.post-72711554275663992232007-10-12T11:13:00.000-05:002007-10-12T11:13:00.000-05:00Irish mythology has some interesting tales and roo...Irish mythology has some interesting tales and roots.
